Welcome to my gallery.
The kennel name Naraena was registered in 1980 when my husband and I bred our first litter of Norwegian Elkhounds having owned the breed since 1972. We have three Elkhounds at present.
I fell in love with the character and companionship of the Swedish Vallhund around the year 2000 and owned the first one in 2003.
Kopparås Freyia was born in Sweden and I guess her grey colouring and full tail resembled the breed that I have loved, owned, shown and bred for so many years.
In 2005 Freyia gained a companion of her breed, again from Sweden, when Kopparås Krister av Naraena joined the team. The dogs and I spend most of our time in Sweden these days where we have marvelled at the strength of the breed, only to be expected in their country of origin of course.
