Championship Show My thanks to the committee of the Swedish Vallhund Society for the kind invitation to judge this show, also to my very able steward for keeping me in order! My gratitude also to the exhibitors for their entries and sportsmanship, I felt the dogs were much stronger in type than the bitches, temperaments were very good and teeth were clean.

VD (4) A lovely class, all very worthy Champions. 1.Jones’ Ch. Tanellis Blooming William. 7 years, gorgeous male of excellent breed type, masculine wedge head with lovely expression and dark eye and defined mask markings, neat ears, good lay of shoulder and level top-line, super front and good depth of chest, correct harness markings, lovely spitz tail and well angulated rear quarters which he used with drive on the move covering the ground with ease, well handled, a joy to watch the unity between this dog and his handler, well done, BVD, BVIS & RBIS.

2.Uiltendaal’s Multi Ch. Noriniikes Balder De Bombe. 8 years, another lovely dog of excellent type, correct scissor bite and dentition, lovely head with good depth of muzzle and correct stop, well set ears and lovely eyes, well defined mask and harness markings, good shoulder placement and strong level top-line, lovely forequarters with correct slight bend to forearm and oval chest, good strong firm rear quarters with good turn of stifle and length of hock which he used well on the move.

3.Perry and Etches’ Ch. Starvon Cryptic Spyder.

MPD (2) 1.Cameron and Woods’ Bowkal Kynligr Odyssee. 7 months and very much a baby yet a very confident boy, stood well on the table, good size and super bone for his young age, lovely coat and condition, very good top-line for his age and good overall outline, good masculine head for such a youngster with lovely wedge shape, would just prefer a little more stop, good ear set and correct scissor bite, good front quarters with a lovely forward reach on the move but a little loose in hock behind, lovely spitz tail, well done. 2.Cram and Woodford’s Bowcol Einvala Odyssee. 7 months, litter brother to 1 and similar remarks apply, super bone and temperament, on the table just wanted a kiss, in lovely coat with spitz tail, masculine head with lovely eye and mask, correct scissor bite, super ear set, lovely bone and substance, good top-line with spitz tail, not as settled on the move, rather loose in hocks and toed in slightly in front on one foot, just a baby, needs time to develop.

PGD (1) 1. Jones’ Valltineya Red Redemption. Stood alone, however well deserved win, lovely type male with good bone and substance, lovely masculine head with correct stop, would prefer a darker eye, super mask markings and neat ears, good length of neck, upper arm and lay of shoulder, firm top-line, good oval front with lovely depth of chest and spring of rib, strong rear quarters which he used well, very sound movement with good forward reach.

Another super dog, well worthy Champion, super type and again very masculine, super masculine head with well defined mask and harness, dark eye, good muzzle and correct stop, well angulated front and rear quarters which he used with drive on the move holding his top-line, lovely depth of chest, one of my favourites, very worthy Champion, just preferred the front reach of first today.

3. Danga’s Norton Junkerson In Galerita (imp SWE).

VB (3) Sadly, one exhibit had to withdraw due to her bitch going lame, I hope she is now recovered.

1.Day’s Ch. Starvon Binit Sinit Dunit with Kirkholme. 8 years, quality well balanced bitch of good type, excellent size and bone which seems to be lacking in some nowadays, feminine head, dark eye and lovely expression, well defined mask markings, good reach of neck, well angulated front and rear quarters, lovely firm top-line, sadly she was lacking in coat today, however, that did not reflect on my decision, she was very sound on the move, with lovely forward reach, BVB & RBVIS.

2.Uitendaal’s Multi Ch. Sharinjah Simasuu. Another lovely bitch, 11 years, absolute credit to her owner shown in lovely condition for her age, very feminine head with correct mask, dark eye and lovely ear set, lovely front quarters, good depth of chest and spring of rib, good top-line, moved very well for her age but not quite as positive as winner on the move however she was an excellent example of how this breed improves and matures with age, thank you for bringing her.

PB (3,1) 1. Linney and Atkinson’s Aescwine Cuz Everyone Talks. Very smart confident puppy of 10 months, super temperament, very good bone for her young age, beautiful feminine wedge head with gorgeous expression and super well defined mask, darkest of eyes, lovely ear set, correct scissor bite, super length of neck onto firm top-line with good front and rear quarters, moved extremely well for her young age, must have a very bright future, BPB & RBPIS.

2. Archer’s Valaller Jack O’Hearts. GB (2,1) 1.Fernandez and Hobbs’ Valaller Copyright. 2 years, stood alone, nevertheless a worthy win, she is of good breed type with lovely bone and substance, good length of neck, firm top-line, correct scissor bite, lovely feminine wedge head with good mask and stop, dark oval eye, correct oval front with slight bend of forearm, good shoulder placement, moved reasonably well with good forward reach but would have liked more drive from the rear quarters.

2. Zbilut’s Ch. Ohanaway She’s A Rebel. 5 years, another quality bitch whom I have had the privilege of going over her before and giving her top honours in the past, today just confirmed what a super bitch she is and it was lovely to be able to go over her again today, lovely bitch of excellent type, super bone and substance, feminine head and dark eye, excellent top-line, good depth of chest and super firm top-line, lovely front and rear quarters which she used well on the move, handled very well by her young handler who always get the best from her.
