First i will apologise that I dont know why my breed notes notes including Lka and points won I sent on 4th January havent appeared here .
Over Christmas Gemma +Craig , Sophie +Alex +Sophies nan Cilla Brown took some vallhunds for a group walk at Holmsley in the beautiful New Forest ,Spyda ,Eddie, Blix,Beni ,Alfie , Braya ,Bo,Buffy +Buck. It was fab how every dog was fine all walking together especially as 5 entire males that hadnt met before , but hey they are valls ,I was unable to go but it was lovely to see the clips on my phone .It is such a lovely place to walk .
Alessia Longhi took Flori to a trial at Scentwork Uk Flori had an excellant with a clean sweep + she came 3rd out of a group of 16 ,they were celebrating with a pizza .well done .

Have you all been reading about the "Inate Health Assessment " launched at the house of commons in November ,if this goes through then a lot of breeds could be lost in 10yrs .I say 10yrs as by then they will fail unless you change to crossbreeding !!!! .
The Proposed Extreme Conformation Assessment will be affecting 31% of Pastoral breeds, as well as many in other groups of course .The Iha was designed to improve causes of welfare Visual tests to include in our breed sv ,have a double catch being shorter legs +natural Bobs +stumps even though we have a large majority of Full Tails .they can be a mixture in a litter .SV is an amazng breed they may be short in the leg but can keep up with for an example a BC etc they are versatile and do all sport activites . They need to be fast its how they were bred to be to enabling herding cattle what they were bred for in 1942 Karl Gustav Zetterson met Count Bjorn von Rosen after searching farms to get both sexes and established the swedish vallhund .A fit all round farm dog .The IHA is a tool to be completed by breeders .What a big shame breeders were not represented at the meeting in November, They dont realise all of the knowledge and expertise and accumalated knowledge our breeders have how they study breed in depth and matching lines up . Guessing the assumption seems as if breeders are motivated by money and thats rubbish . How are they going to keep track of all greeders which are everywhere only bothered by money as the churn out puppies..
Its estimated that 60% of breeds will fail. Now thats a sobering thought .
